Stimulation Regions of the Prostate and Urethra

1. Incise endopelvic fascia.
2. Establish baseline response to stimulation at posterolateral urethra bilaterally with CaverMap™ Surgical Aid.
3. Divide dorsal vein.
4. Divide urethra.
5. Upon visualization of neurovascular bundle, stimulate along lateral pedicles at apex, mid and base of prostate bilaterally with CaverMap™ Surgical Aid.
6. Complete removal of prostate and seminal vesicles.
7. Prior to anastomosis, stimulate proximally with CaverMap™ Surgical Aid (where lateral pedicles once joined the prostate) to confirm nerve function bilaterally.
